Our vision, “The Heart of Our Community - Together We Thrive,” reflects what makes our school special. We are a school where strong relationships, belonging and community sit at the heart of everything we do. We celebrate the unique strengths, interests, cultures and personalities that each child brings to our school.
We want our tamariki to become confident, capable and curious learners who are willing to have a go, persevere when things are challenging, care for others and take responsibility for themselves and their community. We place a strong emphasis on developing both academic achievement and the skills, values and wellbeing children need to succeed in life.
Our approach to learning is built around Think, Teach and Thrive - giving children clarity about what they are learning, providing purposeful teaching and support, and helping them reflect, grow and take increasing ownership of their learning.
We are proud to work alongside our whānau, local community and mana whenua, recognising that children achieve most when we work together. Our goal is simple: to give every child the opportunity to discover their strengths, develop their potential and feel that they truly belong.
